Watching a bunch of old white men lash out about predominantly black musicians they’ve never heard of because these artists dared reveal their involvement in GTA6, and thus have created a brief moment of marketing where these assholes have to confront the fact that it’s not the 1990s/2000s anymore.

Watching the reaction of white men 45+ reacting to the GTA music confirmations is very funny. It kind of reminds me of a lot of the reactions that same demo had to BlizzCon this year. A lot of elder millennial and gen x people need to accept they’re not the only people who exist in gaming anymore.

Listened to the Kinda Funny panel at BlizzCon and StarCraft (2030) sure sounds like Halo Infinite + ODST, and if that’s really the vibe I’m going to get entirely too hyped for the next 3-4 years.

As a StarCraft/WarCraft/Overwatch girlie Diablo has always been my biggest Blizzard blind spot. So I started with Diablo IV today. It’s so much fun! I made a druid and she rules! I mean look at her having a fun time with these villagers. It’s clearly chill vibes from here on.

My Diablo IV druid character, Mara, holding a drink and celebrating with some villagers.

I can’t explain to you what it feels like to spend most of my life never talking about my favorite gaming series of all time because there was a 12 year gap between the first and second game…and the second game was actually 3 separate games…and those games were released across a 6 year span.

Prefacing that I don’t mean this to be a spicy take because the money people will always have an advantage and art struggles under capitalism. I don’t think it’s fair or useful to simultaneously hold the positions of “Sony knew what they were getting into” and “Kojima can do whatever he wants”.

It just hit me how close the MCU may be to putting together The Champions. - Miles is there but isn’t Spidey yet - Ms. Marvel is already there - There’s a younger Hulk already - There’s a Vision show this year - There’s a Nova movie coming

I want to deeply apologize to the guys I’ve dated and to the good friends whose sweatshirts/hoodies I’ve taken (stolen) because I’m starting to really get to know how you feel what with my wife now “appropriated” (stolen) a good handful of mine now.

Jean Grey has been my favorite superhero since I was a child. So I’m going to be insufferable about the realization people are having that she’s great actually. It’s almost like there should be multimillion dollar projects specifically about her and not about the men who are forced to deal with her.

On one hand, gaming as a hobby is littered with moments where people bring out the silly takes the second they know people are out for blood. On the other hand, it’s happening to PlayStation, so even if they’re completely ridiculous and untrue I don’t very much care.
