They subpoenaed an 85-year-old man who has testified before Congress 250 times. They published his private diary first. Then screamed profanity at him for not talking. Six years of investigation. Zero charges. This is what having nothing looks like. www.JackHopkinsNow.com

The rest of your natural life—and then some. That's how long we'll be cleaning up the mess of Trump and MAGAism. The nation as it was before is lost. It won't return. What we seek to save now isn't what used to be. It'll be something else altogether. It'll be what we make it.
Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger announced Friday that she has restored voting rights for 66,085 people who otherwise wouldn’t be able to vote due to past felony convictions. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...
Virginia Gov. Spanberger has restored voting rights for 66,000 people with past felony convictions
The volume presents a dramatic reversal of prior Gov. Glenn Youngkin's tenure, when he restored less than 10,000 voter's rights during his entire four-year term.

Pam Bondi is desperately trying to avoid her upcoming deposition, despite a subpoena. Here's what happens if she doesn't show: youtu.be/0I4Vaf8Q7lU?...
Garcia: Well, it's clear that President Trump would rather listen to Benjamin Netanyahu than his own people or to his own advisors and the public that are actually struggling.
Like… We cannot go ahead and have the World Cup now like nothing is going on. Regardless of what does or doesn’t happen tonight. Countries should simply refuse to send teams. The rest of the world cannot treat us as a remotely normal country after this
Speaker Johnson, we are calling on you to bring the House back to DC IMMEDIATELY! The Cabinet needs to invoke the 25th Amendment. But Congress can’t just sit on its hands and wait for that to happen when the President is threatening to commit war crimes TONIGHT.
The receipts. A complete timeline of the shifting rhetoric. More: www.meidasplus.com/p/today-in-p...
The President of the United States is threatening to commit war crimes and wipe out a "whole civilization" — all because he started a disastrous war of his own making and had no plan and no strategy for how to end it. This is abhorrent, and the American people do not support this.
Pope Leo shamed the president for his "unacceptable" threat against the people of Iran.

If the president chooses to annihilate Iran, as threatened, he will not have the blessing of the Vatican.

“A whole civilization will die tonight” is the most vile thing a US president has ever said, certainly during the post-1945 era when they’ve had the power to kill civilizations with the dropping of a bomb. I’m staring into the darkness. May this not be one of the most fateful days in human history.
Simply by threatening to target civilians and civilian infrastructure, Donald Trump is committing war crimes.
Tucker Carlson: "It's vile. It begins w/ a promise to use the US military to commit a war crime. Those people who are in direct contact w/ the president need to say 'No. I'll resign. I'll do whatever I can do legally to stop this, bc this is insane. And if given the order, I'm not carrying it out'"
I'm not sure how you can be against removing this man from office right now. What will it take? A nuke being dropped? It's too late then. The purpose of impeachment and the 25th Amendment is to prevent that type of thing from happening, not just to react to it.
"Calm down. He won't be that bad." "He won't go after political opponents." "He won't try to overturn an election." "He won't start a stupid, costly war." "He won't purge the military." "He won't use nukes." <--- We're currently here.
Wow. One whole Republican.🙄 And I'm not so sure about the "America is good" part anymore.
One House Republican pushes back on Trump's Iran threat today — Rep. Rep. Nathaniel Moran of Texas: "I do not support the destruction of a 'whole civilization.' That is not who we are, and it is not consistent with the principles that have long guided America."
I urge our nation to use this weekend's No Kings marches as a declaration of independence against the tyranny and lawlessness currently running this country. Use your voice. ACT PEACEFULLY. Protect yourself and your community. THERE ARE NO KINGS IN THE UNITED STATES.
This is happening in Omaha, Nebraska, and I'm sure it's happening everywhere. Please, everyone, stay vigilant and watch your surroundings and cars. @jinngaa.bsky.social @cheri2.bsky.social @psychopete.bsky.social
Time is up. I gave Speaker Mike Johnson two days to swear in Adelita Grijalva. Arizona's 7th congressional district 813,000 Arizonans are now being taxed without representation. I have lawyers downstairs right now drafting litigation. youtu.be/9OBdjsGntQI?...

Trump’s ‘big beautiful bill’ betrays the poor. The church must oppose it.
The church and the bishops of the United States should lead the way in speaking against this bill and calling on Catholics to work for its defeat, writes Archbishop John C. Wester of Sante Fe.
