Kamala Harris: I know this is going to be controversial coming from me in particular, we need to revisit the electoral college. We need to revisit the point of expanding the court. We need to revisit, if they so want, statehood for Puerto Rico and D.C.

I mean this is fundamentally one of the big reasons why data centers have no local constituency: they don’t actually create a lot of jobs they’ll employ some folks during construction but the actual day to day operation of a data center really doesn’t need many people, especially given its size

Hassett: "Data centers are very good for towns bc they create so many jobs & bring people in with high incomes that can buy houses & stuff like that. So if you take a sleepy town that hasn't seen much in the last 30 years & put a data center there, there are gonna be a bunch of happy residents."

Beginning in 1934, the Reich Minister for Propaganda, Joseph Goebbels, never denied the existence of concentration camps, instead he defended them as necessary to defend the blood and honor of the German people from murderers, rapists, pedophiles and drug dealers.

Markwayne Mullin: "This isn't a Holiday Inn. We're not providing luxury housing. What we're doing is providing a sanitary place for them to be detained. We're detaining murderers, rapists, pedophiles, drug dealers. We're meeting the calorie standard."

Florida resident on Trump's ballroom: "He should be focusing on lowering these prices that he jacked up, because it wasn't this high before he became president…He don't need to be talking about ballrooms, man. You need to be trying to fix the economy."

It can be hard to keep up with EVERYTHING that the Trump admins is doing—and planning to do—right now with ICE and Border Patrol around the US So @wired.com created the ICE Tracker newsletter to ensure you know exactly what's happening....and it's FREE Sign up here: www.wired.com/newsletter/I...

If Jeff Bezos could afford to spend $75 million on the Melania movie & $500 million for a yacht to sail off to his $55 million wedding to give his wife a $5 million ring, please don't tell me he needed to fire one-third of the Washington Post staff. Democracy dies in oligarchy.

In an interview in October, Howard Lutnick said after he met Epstein in 2005, he vowed to “never be in a room with that disgusting person ever again.” Documents released today by Trump's DOJ say otherwise.

THEY DID IT. EVERY SENATE DEMOCRAT just voted on an amendment to DEFUND ICE (rescind the BBB slush fund that keeps ICE open during a shutdown.) This amendment failed, but it shows broad support! KEEP CALLING and make it a demand to vote for the DHS funding bill!!

👀 Every Senate Democrat + Collins and Murkowski just voted for the Bernie Sanders amendment to repeal the $75 billion in additional ICE funding under Trump’s “big beautiful bill.” The measure failed 49-51.

More and more Americans are voicing their outrage at the tactics being deployed by federal agents in Minnesota. But it’s important to understand the broader implications of what this administration is doing, and the threat it poses to the basic freedoms of every American.

I made a promise to Alex’s parents to continue to tell his story. An ICU nurse at the VA, an outdoorsman, a deeply generous, compassionate friend and family member, and a true son of Minnesota. Rest in peace, Alex.
