Are there any investigative journalists out there who'd like to pick up this story? @uk.theconversation.com @unherd.com @theguardian.com
Good that more people are now talking about their experiences here. It makes me feel less alone with the stress I was going through for so long with this company but was silent about for fear of being seen as “making a fuss”. But when is an investigative journalist going to write a piece about it?
Today Cull of the Wild is released in paperback ... and I would love you all to read it (or listen to it ... yes, I recorded the book!) - but if you already have, or just don't have time - could you consider spreading some love and support? hughwarwick.substack.com/p/paperback-... - thank you
Paperback Writer!
'Dear Sir or Madam, will you read my book - It took me years to write, will you take a look?'

This is a really good book. Well worth paying the cover price for.
If anyone would like one of these for the price of postage (£4 UK, £15 US) plus whatever you'd like to pay me of the £9.99 cover price (no problem if zero is all you can afford) please email me at hello@tom-cox.com with your address and I'll get it straight in the post, signed. Sound fair?
If anyone else would like to buy one these direct from me (signed), please drop me a reply below and I'll let you know how. I have a load of them.
Horrified to see the mess that Unbound have created for authors and supporters. So was pleased to be able to order Tom Cox's latest novel directly from Tom @dj-acid-reflux.bsky.social. I'm stunned and delighted at how quickly it's arrived so can happily recommend his books and customer service!

After being so shafted by Unbound, Tom Cox (one of my favourite authors - here @dj-acid-reflux.bsky.social) is selling his books direct. Delighted to receive this beauty today (I only ordered it yesterday). Highly recommended for all fans of the weird, funny, rambling and surreal.
On their webpage they claim the new company Boundless have taken over the goodwill associated with Unbound. They’ll soon find out there’s very little of that 🤬
As a postscript to this, I have now found out Unbound - or the company that has been spawned from their ashes - will not be refunding the readers who pledged for my last book, having previously, only very recently, said they would. I'm sorry. And I'm furious.
Pleased to be supporting Operation Owl run by UK National Wildlife Crime Unit, an initiative to raise the awareness of the role the public play in cases of illegal Raptor Crime in the UK. Please share their message far and wide and report anything suspicious to them.👇 youtu.be/M_5ukOFLjbo?...

Word of the Day is ‘ingordigiousness’ (18th century): extreme greed at the expense of principles.
@marcrileydj.bsky.social have you seen/shared this yet? All your listeners need to fill it in. Thank you! (Du Blonde & House of All sessions superb, looking forward to catching up on RD later 😁)
A new Substack from me on the Music Fans' Voice Survey. With your help it can reach tens of thousands of music fans. So please join us and let's make that happen: open.substack.com/pub/markdavy...
More Aizu Wakamatsu snow. Hoping it will be replaced by cherry blossom by April 🤞 (it’s all about me 🙄)
Took a wander around the neighbourhood.
It's your first Survey Sunday! TAKE THE SURVEY: musicfansvoice.uk The Music Fans' Voice survey launched earlier this week and a huge number of live music fans have already taken part... but thousands more are needed. And that includes you.
People always cite "moving house" and "divorce" as the most stressful life events but too often they forget "putting a duvet cover on when very tired".

Bafflingly there are still people out there in the world who think being passionate about nature is “kind of weird”. or “a niche interest”. These people have it all wrong. Nature isn’t some quirky sideline to the main business. It IS the main business.
TAKE PART! 1. Take the Music Fans Voice Survey HERE: musicfansvoice.uk 2. Copy this post & post to your own socials with the link 3. Tag friends, ask them to take the survey and carry on the chain @automatom.bsky.social @paulkindred.bsky.social @bandonthewall.bsky.social @nikbarbosa.bsky.social
Anyone else feeling the length of January! Here’s a beautiful photo to cheer you on.
We have entered the 53rd and final week of January. I think I’m going to make it after all.

Word of the day is one I mention often. To have the ‘mubble-fubbles’, in the 16th century, was to experience a fit of despondency or low spirits - another name for the Sunday blues.
Marvellous writing from Tom Cox. Go to his Substack and discover more.
In case anyone would like a read before it slips behind the paywall... Especially of potential interest to book nuts/people with the collecting bug/general nerds. tomcox.substack.com/p/the-house-...
January 1st. Just another day. Wandered up to a temple on the edge of the forest and followed a serow’s (カモシカ ) trail back down.
