Good that more people are now talking about their experiences here. It makes me feel less alone with the stress I was going through for so long with this company but was silent about for fear of being seen as “making a fuss”. But when is an investigative journalist going to write a piece about it?

Horrified to see the mess that Unbound have created for authors and supporters. So was pleased to be able to order Tom Cox's latest novel directly from Tom @dj-acid-reflux.bsky.social. I'm stunned and delighted at how quickly it's arrived so can happily recommend his books and customer service!

On their webpage they claim the new company Boundless have taken over the goodwill associated with Unbound. They’ll soon find out there’s very little of that 🤬

As a postscript to this, I have now found out Unbound - or the company that has been spawned from their ashes - will not be refunding the readers who pledged for my last book, having previously, only very recently, said they would. I'm sorry. And I'm furious.

Bafflingly there are still people out there in the world who think being passionate about nature is “kind of weird”. or “a niche interest”. These people have it all wrong. Nature isn’t some quirky sideline to the main business. It IS the main business.

Word of the day is one I mention often. To have the ‘mubble-fubbles’, in the 16th century, was to experience a fit of despondency or low spirits - another name for the Sunday blues.
