Five years ago @bketelsen.bsky.social and I "co founded" projectbluefin.io - it was a handmade Dockerfile. We're still at it. Except this time we're spending our time one design and discussion while we send the clankers to go do our bidding. Local models working fine too...

Guardians ... a new Dakota arrives, likely our last before beta. @ahmedadan brings us an example of the power we can wield with BuildStream and The Final Shape. (Ask him about his COSMIC image!)

Most CNCF maintainers will go their entire careers not knowing that @parisinbmore.bsky.social created a special program as one of our last duties of Kubernetes SIG Contributor Experience. It's the unauthorized Stargate-program that was never on any books anyone was keeping track of.
There are so many ways that a Cloud Native Developer can fight the Toilmaster. You all should have seen what @jeefy.dev did to the clanker that recommended ingress-nginx to a new end user. wolves.projectbluefin.io
The maintainers featured in Bluefin: Seven Days to the Wolves will be real maintainers that exist in OSS today. Character to their specification, their story to tell. All made by real human beings. It will be a mix of trusted legends. And new lights full of hope. wolves.projectbluefin.io
Hmmm. The two featured titans on wolves.projectbluefin.io are on the same podcast talking about navigating AI guidelines. I'm sure that's just a coincidence. kubernetespodcast.com/episode/269-...

A huge thanks and shout out to Blue Universal for sponsoring Project Bluefin's Seven Days to the Wolves! wolves.projectbluefin.io
Bluefin's fifth birthday is a special one as we move towards agentic development. I got tired of anti-AI people attacking OSS maintainers so we're making a comic book about it. Then it's going to be the world's first cloud-native musical. And then we're moving on. š wolves.projectbluefin.io

We've lost this. I'll have a set of talks about this. @naturalbornjilla.bsky.social on this topic recently. "Who said anger is bad? That's bullshit. Your people more than any, you build entire products to piss people off. Fuck you, fuck you, you're cool, fuck you .. fuck you..."
I asked the @cncf.io staff "Who is in charge of the best 200 photos of our contributors?". To my dismay I found 30 seconds later that apparently that's me. I got the 200. But I ain't sharing yet. But what I will say is. You're are some BEAUTIFUL people!
In one generation AI de-evolved us from Kubernetes back to this. And the best part is this joke also works the other way around. Everybody gets a win!
A reminder that KVM is 20 years old ...
"Once again the CNCF TOC and TAB would like to remind all of you that the closure of the collider has nothing to do with the last Kubernetes release. We have no idea what happened to the moon. But as you can see Karena is beside herself .... "
Everyone's coming out with their own "microVMs for agents!" solution. It takes like 2 hours to assemble CNCF tools in the right order, just missing that "product" part. Not to sell, whoever works on this will be at the crux of agent spam and mismanaged expectations. lol.
I saw a pitch today for "Agentic Multi-cluster Finops". I don't really have a comment it kind of speaks for itself doesn't it. I guess it's better than building the pyramids?
460 reasons to not give a shit about AI this weekend!
Real-world results deserve a keynote stage. The CNCF End User Case Study Contest invites end-user organizations to share how they're using CNCF technologies at #KubeCon + #CloudNativeCon Japan 2026. Apply by June 11: https://bit.ly/4wm01lq #CloudNative #CNCF #Kubernetes
I grew up with Penny Arcade, feels good to return some of the joy. I am the one who's floored!
After a couple days on @bazzite.gg, I'm just floored by it. Fucking floored.
One of the first things I did when starting at @cncf.io is work on getting Flatcar Linux into incubation. It took us a year! So many awesome OSS people helped make it happen. cc @ahrkrak.bsky.social and @lachie.bsky.social www.zdnet.com/article/micr...
