No doubt this has occurred to other bystanders as well, but it would seem that a handful of billionaires dropping $150 million into a single state's election in an attempt to defeat a wealth-tax initiative just about makes the entire case for a wealth-tax initiative.

I just think it's dishonest to say that the politics are unavoidable on other platforms, but they are on X. Its *point* is its politics; you're just saying they exist at a level you find palatable. The guys who doxed my family aren't on the other platforms; they're followed by staff members on X.

can’t get the new season of dark matter out of my head - and east of eden. both will not escape my thoughts. i need more people to talk about movies/shows/books without spoiling them on socials.

i would appreciate more men being vocal that rape is bad and has consequences like not being your friend. i don’t see anyone really talking about the cornell stuff and to be frank, i usually don’t when it comes to this topic.

i have so much trauma associated with cars and i really need to work on this part of life now. i haven’t owned a car in ten years but not having a car in seattle is really setting me back to only being able to live in the city. (i love the city btw)

i know comments on the internet are awful but when news and journalism outlets have a no comments feature on and no way to reach the author, it leaves me wondering how they get feedback cycles or is it just an f off? feels fine for personal blogs but off for mainstream.

Baltimore, one of our great civic orgs needs us. Asylee Women Enterprise, which helps asylum seekers, torture + trafficking survivors, and other forced migrants, rebuild their lives here, must rapidly leave their space of 10+ years. Please give to help them move to their own forever home in Hampden!

A Forever Home for Asylee Women Enterprise (AWE)

We’re asking people who believe in our mission to help us reach our goal and build a permanent home for AWE and the communities we serve.

100% and the flip flop back to humanities with “natural language” and how important it is now to communicate to both people and machines. it’s been a wild roller coaster of education these last 30 years. language and general humanities education is important no matter your role in life.

years of “learn to code” style condescension towards laid off workers outside of tech — only to go cutting coders’ jobs also did not seem like great marketing.
