I’m proud to have co-sponsored legislation that led the implementation of California’s Universal Meals Program, offering two free meals per day to all students. We’re providing more meals to students than ever, and more of those meals include organic, locally-sourced ingredients.

I’m so proud of San Diego Unified’s staff, students, and families for their hard work moving the needle on test scores, learning, equity, innovation, and opportunity.
