South Korea's impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol has been indicted for insurrection. @cathichoi.bsky.social explains the lead-up to Yoon's charges—and the role of the U.S. in "Korea’s dark history of authoritarian crackdowns."

It also recently surfaced that over 3,000 body bags were pre-ordered in December during the month that Yoon declared martial law. When I contemplate what was and is anticipated, it is terrifying, but not more terrifying than oppression itself.
