Things like this need more attention...this new paper by David Autor, Anne B., David Dorn, and Gordon Hanson finds that not only have tariffs not only failed to raise employment, but people in tariff-exposed regions supported the tariffs because they're "confrontational" It's affect, not interests

There are some mitigating measures for this. Still not sufficient and time-consuming/extensive (mostly interactive & customized stuff). A more important question is, are faculty (ever) compensated for the ed content engineering type of work in addition to their traditional obligations?

woof ≈80% of assignments this summer term have essentially been just raw chatgpt/claude output, including assignments that required designing stuff in illustrator/affinity/canva. The battle is lost for asynchronous online courses.

- Replace soy sauce with oyster sauce for more flavor (particularly if using frozen meat). - I am usually all for veggie varieties but a simple onion + green onion combo is better for this. Instead, veggies could be served as a salad on the side. - Pork belly also works, with less oil added.
