Haven't posted any more updates because so far there isn't really much to post about regarding my Linux experience lol. Things just work which is a good sign I suppose~
CathyRina 🦋@cathyrina.bsky.social · 6d agoDay 3 Got Pinta to use for some light image editing. Its not as feature rich as Paint.Net but it gets the job done. Ui is intuitive enough. Also got the PSO2 mod manager to work through Lutris. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to boot while the game is running which is a little bit unfortunate.

People who are anti-Mag Al or want to slow Mag Al progress, I have one question: If Mag Al disappeared tomorrow, could you still get through an entire session of PSO2 without feature hallucinations, or any other wrong answers? Imagine Mag Al was suddenly banned. Would you be willing to give it up?
"Vote with your wallet" can be tricky in a F2P game esp if you're already a freeloader who doesn't pay and can't influence a developers cashflow negatively. I'd suggest the other way around! Trying to influence it in a positive way.

CathyRina 🦋@cathyrina.bsky.social · 7d agoDay 2 It seems when I was formatting one of my SSDs I made an error so it wasn't mounted properly to the system and that caused NGS to run poorly even though it was installed correctly. I think it should be fixed now. NGS certainly plays flawlessly~
Some Redditors are funny. Pointing out they used a phrase incorrectly (and are therefore getting pushback) by copy pasting them the dictionary definition of the phrase they used they block you and accuse you of using ChatGPT LOL
Wish we could get the old, easier Leciel back instead of dancing around the fact that the less popular, harder Leciel is breaking story progression for new players. Also who had trouble killing 30 mobs in 15 minutes?

So honored that the remix we did together for PSO2NGS was hand-picked for Jun Senoue's "Essential Works" playlist! He celebrated a birthday this week too! Very thankful to have had someone so supportive of my journey as a musician from small town gigs all the way to collaborating together at SEGA.

I think some people get way too hung up on Phantasy Star games needing to be mainstream to be worth playing when in reality none of them ever were mainstream and we simply didn't have steam charts to point at and complain about.
