A great few days helping organise the first Capuchin early modern history and theology workshop at Durham. Working in genuine partnership with the friars has been the highlight of my career so far. My paper looked at Scottish and Welsh Capuchins in the wider Catholic Reformation #skystorians

It was such an incredible honor to launch my book at #EMBIC2026. I could not imagine a better venue nor a better co-launch partner than @ewatson.bsky.social! Thank you to everyone who made the evening so special!!!

Great launch event at #EMBIC2026 for the series' two publications so far this year: Catholic Print Networks in Restoration London, 1660-1688, and Print and Catholic Persistence in the Dutch Golden Age by @creutcke.bsky.social and @ewatson.bsky.social #skystorians #history #bookhistory #earlymodern

and the celebrations were noted by all for the genuine spirit of comradery felt in the room. It was a genuine highlight for me and reinforced EMBIC as a conference that supports and amplifies the voices of upcoming PhDs and ECRs (2/2)

There are parts of academia that remain toxic and challenging, but I felt a real counterbalance to this at #EMBIC2026 when academics gathered to launch two books by pioneering ECR scholars in the field. It was an honour to play a small part in organising the event (1/2)
