@siracusa i don’t think you mentioned this, but if you did I’m sorry. You can no longer use iCloud Photo Library, right?
@gosha Love the MoMA and Szarkowski and photography. Thanks for sharing re: your recent visit.
Just reclaimed ~40GB using @siracusa's Hyperspace app on macOS. Given the current cost of storage, I would say John should consider raising his prices.
@glass Nice full content RSS feed you have there friend. ✨
So I uploaded a video of us making our grapes. It would make my day if y’all watched it. Have a great Saturday! https://youtu.be/3YXwwF0bs8s?si=E92kWmNx0myGbE_P
Picked 25+ pounds of grapes from our vine this weekend and canned the jelly.
AI is absolutely amazing. But man do I love finding and enjoying music, art, words, food, and the thoughts made by my fellow humans. Keep creating people. Don’t stop. Don’t give up.
Ate an incredible 27th wedding anniversary dinner, visited a few breweries on a beautiful late-summer day, and went to a concert with family. Another great weekend.
If the majority of your toots are vitriol spewed at people you do not know it is likely best if you just log off and have a conversation with a trusted friend.
Lazy tubed down the Delaware river, walked with the pup for a few miles down a country road, sat around a fire with old friends, cooked vegetarian curry for some new friends. Good weekend.
Eliza canned several fruit jams yesterday from berries picked and frozen earlier in the year. I’m less than a month away from picking our grapes to make more jelly. Last year we yielded 10 pounds of usable grapes. We had 6 pounds the year before. Each “vintage” has its own character just like […]

Selected a few flowers to put in a vase, pruned the tomato vines, cut back the mint (for afternoon mojitos of course), supported the zinnias, and turned the compost pile. A solid morning garden session.
Sure, invite me to your mysterious work meeting. No need for a quick heads-up or a description in the invite explaining what it's about. Don't sweat it, just send it; the less information I have, the better. I thrive in the nebulous void of information; the lack of details empowers me. I love […]

Went camping. Rode bikes along rivers. Cooked outdoors. Napped midday. Read. Swam. Enjoyed waterfalls. Went to a music festival. Ate tacos. Made cocktails. All with my best friend my wife. Good mini vacation.
@JoshHrach haptic feedback in @Countr widget please. Useful. Don’t need to look down to make sure I hit the button.
Signboard 1.6! You can now use local models to help you using Smart Actions. I'm really looking forward to seeing what actions people make. (A bunch of other improvements too) https://cdevroe.com/signboard/

In 2012, someone inside of Meta must have written down every possible way Instagram could ruin itself as a photo-sharing app and made that the product roadmap.
Expect lots of models. https://cdevroe.com/2026/07/01/models-models-everywhere/
Models, models everywhere
Models. Big huge scary models. Small, purpose-built models. Slow models. Fast models. Expensive models. Local models. Models. Models. Models. Which model should you pick for your question, task, or goal? How much of your usage

Mark all as read - I no longer feel as though I need to read every single post across all of the networks, accounts, and people that I follow. It feels good. https://cdevroe.com/2026/06/30/mark-all-as-read/

Famously, for years I have read every single blog post in NetNewswire, every tweet on Twitter (when that website existed), and every toot on Mastodon for the websites and accounts that I follow. It was

In 2007 in San Francisco for a Wordcamp I was feeling pretty poorly. I was chatting with @Onmyom and he could tell I wasn’t feeling well. He said “Go get some rest buddy.” And I was very grateful to him. We worked together a few times over the years and it was always a great experience. Today I […]
