🔻 Today's vote on #ChatControl 1.0 marks a disappointing step backwards. The European Parliament has approved the revival of the interim #ePrivacy derogation, despite having rejected a virtually identical proposal only a few months ago.

‼️ Today, MEPs will vote on whether to fast-track #ChatControl 1.0 back into law. The renewed push for an urgent procedure to reinstate the interim ePrivacy derogation follows an unprecedented intervention by Roberta Metsola, who urged the Council to move the file forward.
