Just saying up front I’m waiting on Mortal Shell 2 because I know it’ll be a success and I cannot give Nioh 3 and it my full attention. I know this has been my vibe for the year, but the soulslikes are coming fast enough I’m okay letting them sit for now. Nioh 3 can sustain me for months TBH
I bought both KH1 & KH2 and the strategy guides and beat both games and then handed them down to my nephew. He loved the games so much. One of my best family gaming memories.
I’m so out of the loop with new game releases this year. But I’ve done some wonderful things for my family. Christmas is coming and I’ll get a lot of these on sale. I wish it didn’t impact the devs that I have to wait, but this is life. Nioh 3 DLC in about a week. I’ll bombard y’all then 🤘🤘🤘

My favorite thing about being friends with folks on consoles is just getting to see what they are playing. That’s such a fun feature to make you feel like you are gaming with friends.

The last time I felt loyalty to a console and would defend it to the death was the Sega Genesis. I regret nothing.

Last day of Kate’s summer school program. She has three weeks of go-crazy-cause-my-house-is-boring-while-my-parents-work, but I’ll be splitting time with her as I do. Gonna be a tough three weeks but Nioh 3 DLC has me focused and disciplined.

I get to see my daughter in 2-3 hours!
This weekend, my daughter mentioned me/asked for me for the first time in her life. I’ve spent 10 years not worrying about if I will ever hear her call me daddy. Well maybe I haven’t heard it yet, but it happened this weekend. She asked with no prompting: “MY daddy coming here?” (Emphasis mine).
At the part of the trip where I’m waiting for my final connection and just want to be home.
If a family member of yours grew up close friends with a serial killer (who is now in jail), and you were a professional writer, would you use the connection to try to interview said SK? I am torn between I shouldn’t because it could upset folks and that I’d be dumb not to do it.
Number of on-cartridge switch and switch 2 physical games I’ve bought in the last three years keeps climbing as my main source of spending on video games. It’s intentional, it’s already put me in a physical-first environment, and the impact of an all digital ps fades from my concern more and more.
