Dear Google, I kindly request that you let me decide the volume of my own headphones, and stop turning it down to mouse noises during my favorite part of the song just because your legal team thinks it's been loud for too long. Thanks Joe

I still find it highly entertaining when a picture of my own basement game room jump-scares me in the middle of a YouTube video 🤣 (Redid this post to remove the link after realizing this video is 100% AI slop - no interest in giving views to robots)

When you have a non-verbal autistic kid (7), it's easy to forget that it's not their INPUT that's the problem, just their OUTPUT. It's amazing what this kid will pick up on and we don't even notice it because he can't tell us why he's doing it. Like this text message from his therapist:

Joe is a good friend of mine and as someone who has seen a lot of this book, it's absolutely amazing The time I put into attempting to convince people to try Japanese exclusive N64 games is like a grain of sand compared to the work he put into this book about the Famicom Please, check it out!

This. Kings Field is not a clunky pre-analog Skyrim-like. Kings Field is a deliberately paced, intentionally slow exploration game that uses its limited movement to both enhance atmosphere and drive difficulty. Snap decisions can be costly. This is designed into the fabric of the series.

I’m going to take this several steps further and say stop letting people use the mouse to look around with whatever sensitivity they want in kf-likes
