This is irresponsible. For people who can't leave, or those of us who are standing up for what's right, this encourages hopelessness and despair. Some people will give up on life permanently. And it will be because of things like this being said. It's not over by a long shot.

Theodor Adorno wrote that "A wrong life cannot be lived rightly." Trans people need to understand that we are "wrong lives". Our actions will never improve our standing with most Americans. But for the fact that I am trans, I would be regarded as having lived an exemplary life. Instead, I'm exiled.

It’s just wild that every month, we have a new group/person/company coming out like, “woke is dead. Here’s a straight pride shirt” and then two months later they reappear and say “we lost all our money. Here’s some woke”

I'm a little than normal, but here is your yearly reminder Do not support Operation Christmas Child! It's a terrible program that does far more harm than good. If you want to do something that does good, find an organization and donate to it directionally.

Alright y'all - this starts in less than 24 hours! When we say "protect trans kids", this is a super practical way to do it - helping a trans kid escape the US will change her life. Plus look at all the amazing people joining! Come hang out and consider helping if you can! Reshares are helpful, too!

So SCOTUS apparently is going to say a state can ban care that is recommended by every major medical organization (gender-affirming care), but can't ban care that is condemned by every major medical organization (conversion therapy). They're legally mandating/protecting medical malpractice.

I'm also reminded of the "whistleblower" report about abuses at a Missouri gender clinic, the author of which is now just a full-time anti-transgender lobbyist, that fell apart the moment any reporter tried to verify it

perhaps the biggest story TFPever ran was a catastrophically shoddy argument that George Floyd ackshully died of an overdose. When confronted with irrefutable evidence that the piece was simply wrong, Weiss didn’t take it down, she asked her critic, @radleybalko.bsky.social, to come on a podcast.

You should absolutely read this if you are someone who knows about Preston Sprinkle. But even if you aren't, this is one of the best and most thorough write ups of what is wrong with Littman's ROGD study and of how it has been used in bad faith by anti-trans people.

Alright y'all, part 10C (yes, really) of @billieiswriting.bsky.social and I's series on Preston Sprinkle's book "Embodied" is out now over on Substack. This one gets into Lisa Littman and her study and the correcttion, and how Sprinkle talks about all of it. www.celestefinally.com/p/the-sweete...

Just finished Matt Smith era of Doctor Who - really enjoyed it, thought took me a while to get through. Loved Amy Pond throughout, and now Clara. Highlights include the Van Gogh episode and the whole thing with the Silence, as well as the special, "The Day of the Doctor". Onward to Capaldi!

I think it’s high time we take back the national narrative. For centuries Americans of all races, genders, religions, and abilities have worked to create a more perfect union, and we should shout from the rooftops that WE are America. Not these idiot white supremacist authoritarians.
