I’m going to conventions again and I’m growing aware of the issues of large for-profit celbrity-petting-zoo conventions. I got to go to a smaller local one and I was so happy with it. Local performers, fan run panels, no lines, did you know there are cons where you can park RIGHT OUTSIDE?

Over analyzing box office can miss the point. But honestly I just like numbers and thinking about them. Odyssey drop was only 23%, impressive but mostly due to nothing new coming out. Next 4 are less than 1 mill apart! Lets go Hadestown! Beat those estimates! Moana w3 = TS5 w6 LOL

This is the best possible news we could've gotten. This merger would've been a disaster and I'm glad it got thrown the biggest hurdle possible. Let's hope it keeps getting thrown pit traps so that way it never gets through and dies. Either way, massive sigh of relief.

The Paramount and Warner Bros merger is officially on hold. The merger will not move forward until June 1, 2027 OR until the courts provide a ruling on the lawsuits facing the merger.

Too many writers (books, television, film) think being earnest is neither cool nor funny. Especially those handling older properties. They want to be cynical to look mature, subversive to look funny, and sarcastic to look smart. And in the end, all they make is the same self-aware, hollow junk.

Lindsey Graham spent the last decade of his life in public service as a US Senator, trying hard to be remembered as an enemy of the Constitution who worked to destroy American democracy and exhibited occasional signs that he knew why that was bad but kept doing it anyway. I will honor his choice.

When a politician dies we see a lot of hagiographies about them. If you mention they were a terrible person IRL, you get chastised. My feeling? If you don't want people to talk shit about you after you die, don't be shitty when you're alive.
