I keep forgetting that ol’ Bob is the Thorns coach now, and woof, he’s probably having some terrible flashbacks to nights in Manchester. At least Utah doesn’t have Bunny Shaw?

Well, the bad news is that the Tottenham friendly isn’t on yet on Golazo Network since the Switchbacks vs Battery game is still on. The good news is that we got to see a pretty thrilling stoppage time game-winner 😛 USL propaganda!

BREAKING: The USL and USLPA have reached a tentative agreement for the first CBA in Super League history, giving their women's players standardized rights like minimum salaries ($37.2K w/risers), player consent to transfers, insurance, housing. More on ESPN:

USL Super League, union agree to CBA key terms

The USL Super League and the USL Players Association announced on Thursday a tentative agreement over key terms of its first collective bargaining agreement.

Was sitting here wondering why there usually aren’t this many issues with the SpursPlay stream during Spurs Women games and realized it’s because not as many people are watching them 🙃

another frustrating thing about this framing is the *actual* threat to girls in sports is people accusing them of being trans when they’re not, because they are too big, too good, too fast (and it gets unevenly applied to girls of color). Cunningham even says this happened to her!

Irresponsible reporting to let this quote stand without pushback from the reporter on the fact that there is demonstrably no danger for cis girls who are in locker rooms or sports with trans girls. (Notable that the word “trans” is not followed by “people” or “women.” Dehumanizing language.)

You say she's a "MAGA Barbie," as some corners of the internet have taken to calling her?
Projection, she says, because of what she looks like and where she's from. She'll weigh in on how to "protect women's sports," she says, because she's in that world and feels qualified to speak to that world. "I got a lot of negative feedback about me hating trans. And I'm like, 'I never once said that," she says. "I think that I am here to extend love. But I also think with that love is truth, being honest. And I want to protect young girls in a locker room, or young girls in sport who shouldn't have to go against biological men."

Even though @ngc.bsky.social made it clear in here he was speaking for himself and not U.S. Soccer, it's still a lot more than anyone at U.S. Soccer has said for a while - whatever those words may be. Speaking in the first place counts for something, not just what is said.

And now, the elected VP of the US Soccer Federation (you read that correctly) gives Infantino both barrels in @theguardian.com. More will follow.

Gotham FC head coach Juan Carlos Amorós announced after Saturday's match that he will be taking the next five weeks for parental leave. His family's second child was born in May, when he took time as well. Shaun Harris is acting head coach. JCA with words everyone should hear👇

Juan Carlos Amoros: “I’m incredibly grateful to everyone at Gotham FC for supporting us unconditionally while we were obviously deciding to take this step. This is a personal decision for our family, but I also recognize the visibility that comes with my role.
“When fathers take parental leave, particularly men in leadership positions, it helps normalize an important principle: caring for children is a shared responsibility between parents. I need to be there for my family.”

Pouring one out for the FCB execs who’ve put a lot of effort into growing the US fanbase & will now have to insist to bars hosting official watch parties, “No, I didn’t stutter, it really is streaming on Fandango.” Srsly tho, this is going to undo the already meager inroads the Buli has made in 🇺🇸.
