Today "AI" cost my dude about a half a day of wasted time because a client used Chat GPT to provide us with time stamps for a play we are working on. It was like trying to translate Sanskrit and wasted soooo much of our day. Then of course we had to have a meeting about it. I hate it.

About Britannia, the PNE, the Canucks, the mayor and minor hockey in a city that’s 60 per cent bigger since the last time rink capacity actually grew: theprovince.com/sports/hocke...

Vancouver needs more ice rinks. The Canucks can lead the way

Kudos to the city's minor hockey associations for calling on Mayor Ken Sim and the Canucks to think bigger.

Thank you to @risingaction.bsky.social for writing about the need for more rinks in the Lower Mainland for minor hockey. Where I live there has been one rink built in the last 25 years, and we have several living on borrowed time. You want healthy kids? Build the infrastructure

Today on living poor. What prescription do I not get? I can only afford one. I will go with the Stantin so I don't have a heart attack or stroke. But having to choose sucks.

I always think of the 1000000 of actors working hard starving and perfecting their craft by getting shot down for roles 5 times a week. Then some hockey bro gets roles only becasue he is a hockey player. Makes me sad.

From @theathletic.com: Cast as the muscular, helmet-clad Laodamas alongside Matt Damon's Odysseus, Sean Avery continues an unlikely post-hockey pivot to Hollywood. Here's how the former NHL player became a cast member in Christopher Nolan's film.

Share space update. A small company is using ML (AI) and just discovered it has hallucinations and don't know what to do. A I Schmay I is what I say.

This old gag. Carbon capture cannot scale to the capacity we need without massive amounts of power. Which causes the carbon capture to starts producing more carbon than it captures making it completly pointless. Like most of the things these politicians say.

@meyer.bsky.social dug deep into the archives to lay out nearly two decades of Canadian politicians' big promises on carbon capture. Spoiler: they sound a bit like a broken record. thenarwhal.ca/canada-carbo...

For a $1,000 contribution, a website seems to promise land and citizenship opportunities. ‘Unethical,’ says one expert.
