Done. I have no idea how it went. My last job interview was in 2016. I will know if I made it to round 2 by Monday.
Holy shit. I got a job interview.
This is my friend John. He died the other day, heart gave out. Gonna miss his gentle kindness. m.youtube.com/watch?v=_qM7...

Today "AI" cost my dude about a half a day of wasted time because a client used Chat GPT to provide us with time stamps for a play we are working on. It was like trying to translate Sanskrit and wasted soooo much of our day. Then of course we had to have a meeting about it. I hate it.

Creativity is not a business it does not require more efficient ways to do things.
About Britannia, the PNE, the Canucks, the mayor and minor hockey in a city that’s 60 per cent bigger since the last time rink capacity actually grew: theprovince.com/sports/hocke...
Vancouver needs more ice rinks. The Canucks can lead the way
Kudos to the city's minor hockey associations for calling on Mayor Ken Sim and the Canucks to think bigger.

Thank you to @risingaction.bsky.social for writing about the need for more rinks in the Lower Mainland for minor hockey. Where I live there has been one rink built in the last 25 years, and we have several living on borrowed time. You want healthy kids? Build the infrastructure
Today on living poor. What prescription do I not get? I can only afford one. I will go with the Stantin so I don't have a heart attack or stroke. But having to choose sucks.
I always think of the 1000000 of actors working hard starving and perfecting their craft by getting shot down for roles 5 times a week. Then some hockey bro gets roles only becasue he is a hockey player. Makes me sad.
From @theathletic.com: Cast as the muscular, helmet-clad Laodamas alongside Matt Damon's Odysseus, Sean Avery continues an unlikely post-hockey pivot to Hollywood. Here's how the former NHL player became a cast member in Christopher Nolan's film.
"Occu-strudel" Fantastic joke. Also Fuck Seinfeld.
Share space update. A small company is using ML (AI) and just discovered it has hallucinations and don't know what to do. A I Schmay I is what I say.
Having mass amounts of money should be considered an illness.
Tech CEOs can collectively get fucked. JFC, is there a single one who’s not a raging, megalomaniacal, super entitled asshole???

This old gag. Carbon capture cannot scale to the capacity we need without massive amounts of power. Which causes the carbon capture to starts producing more carbon than it captures making it completly pointless. Like most of the things these politicians say.
@meyer.bsky.social dug deep into the archives to lay out nearly two decades of Canadian politicians' big promises on carbon capture. Spoiler: they sound a bit like a broken record. thenarwhal.ca/canada-carbo...

Some really impressive work here by a particularly impressive intern — Jamie Voyles, who is a rare breed of journalist with a PhD in public health.
Since 2009, the per capita rate of Lyme disease has increased approximately 32-fold in Canada, according to calculations by Canada’s National Observer — making it one of Canada's clearest examples of a climate-related health problem. www.nationalobserver.com/2026/07/20/n...
Just kiss dude already. It exhausting watching these clowns.
“The MAGA men are laser-focused on masculinity because all they think about are men.”
What an insane response to a request. Mad love to any journalist having to deal with these amateur nut balls.
Here’s the full story: the BC Conservatives have hired an Alberta separatist and a far-right media figure, signalling the direction the party plans to take under new leader Kerry Lynne Findlay thetyee.ca/News/2026/07...
It's not about stopping. Its about making it worse. More pipelines won't make more forest fires but more pipelines certainly wont slow them either. Stop listening to politicians when it comes to the climate emergency go to the science.
One thing I've been getting hung up on lately is people equating new pipelines with more forest fires. After a decade of listening to Conservatives sneer that the carbon tax failed to stop forest fires, this feels like bad logic. One more or less pipeline is not going to affect Canada's wildfires.
830 wildfires burning across Canada right now. And you know what’s going to make it worse in the future? More oil pipelines. This is why our voice and our vote matters.
