Watching Season 4 of Buffy and actually men are the big bad this season: Parker, Oz, the Initiative, even Adam (the first of his kind named after the first man). Adam is borne of woman (Maggie) but kills her and creates his own plan for the world….

Hi friends. If you’re looking for a poetry book to read (for The Sealey Challenge, for any reason), please consider buying my collection, Machines Like Us. This little book of nightmares has been out for 10 years, somehow! (selfie included to draw attention lol) www.dzancbooks.org/all-titles/p...
I endorse this wholeheartedly and find its excellent for poetry manuscripts too!
Some writers love the "retype the novel from scratch" second draft step from REFUSE TO BE DONE. Some hate it. Almost no one is doing it to a 311,000-word first draft, an absolutely ridiculous situation I'm prepping to embark on. (This isn't the novel coming out in 2028! This one will be... later.)
I’m just a boy standing in front of a gas pump paying $50 for 8 gallons of gas

Two Poems by Alex Stolis
Mom sent me a lump of coal for Christmas in a bright red box & a green bowradiating holiday cheer;carefully wrapped in tissue. I imagine her sitting at the kitchentable finishing off her third Manhattan, contemplating an unlit cigarette: Pauline needs a new coat, Roxy loves the beach but what about that Lexy, he’s always such a disappointment. I wonder where she found it; Facebook Marketplace, the Etsy Shop for Recalcitrant Children. Maybe she asked a neighbor, to elicitsympathy for having such an ungrateful son. I can see her searching diligently to find one…

In their home country, my grandparents were a tailor and a cheese shop owner. When they moved to the US, they became a municipal plumber and auto factory worker. I believe their parents also worked in the home country trades too.
Enough “what would you do on the commune questions” If you got sent back 100 years and were given your grandparent’s job, what are you doing?
So Bill was watching the GIDGET series and I had never seen it and you know what it’s actually really good
I’ve had 75-130 unread texts at any given time for most of the last year. It became a thermostat for my mental health, and I knew it was bad. No matter what, I couldn’t keep up. I was drowning.
Diana Aehegma has sat stopped at a red light, seen full sun beaming blocks ahead, today at Villain Era! 🖤🔪
Three Poems by Diana Aehegma
Grief Flower Lie flat in the dim, wait for sleep, feelgrief stem from your sternum, unfurl great dark petals like the biggest magnolia you’ve ever seen, in negative, but the size and heft of a banana flower, invert as if gravity were in reverse, or as if your back were pressed to soft ceiling, the pendulum bloom extending the color purple so deep it reads even in daylight as black. Think no fruit will ring this stalk? Perhaps the monster bud’s more like an artichoke: you know it’s done when…

He says he has a brain tumor. Or maybe a seizure disorder. Could be the weed and the antidepressant and the ADHD meds are mixing together in a noxious cloud so that he suddenly out of nowhere out of the perfectly clear blue sky calls you a fucking cunt and splinters the kitchen cabinet with a single punch and says you embarrass him when you go to shows where his friends are performing and why are you so awkward anyway and how hard could your job be sitting at a computer ordering goddamn books for children you need a degree for THAT much less two you should only have a REAL job dealing with the prissy assholes who come like fucking wisemen seeking the Christ child of a flat white or a fucking cinnamon chai or praise Jesus a pumpkin spice.
