For reasons only my weird brain can truly understand, I just did the math and AMELIA SHADOWS AND THE MONSTER IN THE BOX is the fifth graphic novel I've had come out in the last 14 months, and that's just crazy.
I remember there being a time between ages 6-8 where books at my reading level no longer interested me (Basically when I ran out of Beverly Cleary books to read). Comics got me through it and kept me reading. Even though my teachers didn’t think they counted, I can assure you they did!

I experimented with Ai detectors awhile back. What I found was that they would often say Ai images that I knew for a fact was Ai, wasn’t. And it would sometimes tell me images I knew weren’t Ai, were It would be lovely if they were reliable, but the margin of error is too great so I don’t trust them

Before my move last year, the last time I moved to a new area was in 2005. I always learned the geography of an area fast. But when I moved last year, I wasn’t learning it! My reliance on GPS sapped my ability to learn. So I stopped using GPS, and now I know how to get around. Paper maps are best
