I feel like a lot of the hatred for Nintendo is rooted in toxic masculinity. The fact that many of the games are viewed as “feminine” or “childish” in a negative light makes them and their adult fans a bigger target than the companies that make games that are deemed “”socially acceptable for men””.

Nintendo are far from a perfect company but man I can't take the hate they get seriously when everyone else is killing what I love about games. The people that make them and the tangibility that makes them more than data on a drive. It's never been so dire and they feel like all the hope remaining
