The world said NO to this shameful US presidency and NO to genocide and YES to people of conscience everywhere and YES to a principled woman of color. YES.
What about her story? Why isn't this on the front page of the @nytimes.com like the moment by moment story of how a plane of Israeli passengers survived a brutal attack and landed safely? Why doesn't her pain and fear matter just as much?
Let's be very clear. To be pro-Palestinian, to oppose genocide in Gaza is to hold 2 positions simultaneously (both are true, both are solid): - Survival is good. This plane of passengers working together to keep from crashing - is inspiring and good. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/02/w...
How FlyDubai Passengers and Crew Averted Disaster After Pilot Was Stabbed During Flight
A badly wounded Indian pilot managed to unlock the cockpit door. Four Israeli men teamed up to overwhelm an attacker and avert disaster.

This is the fallacy. THERE AREN'T "a lot" of "hardcore criminals." By only deporting undocumented offenders, ICE would never get to the numbers that this administration is demanding. They ALWAYS planned to get "out" every undocumented American.
She thought it was OK for these terrible things to happen to OTHER immigrants, just as long as it didn't happen to her or her family. No words.
What hurts is that the Republicans/ MAGAs discouraging ppl from trusting medicine/ doctors/ public health (a Dem platform) know fully well that "doing your own research" comes nowhere near the scientific certainty and safety of the randomized clinical trials process, NDA, commercialization.

Further proof of whom the president *really* works for.
The president who fosters conspiracy theories about voter fraud was out there, telling his followers...to commit voter fraud.

Book Review: ‘The Disappearers,’ by Marlon James
Marlon James’s story of gay experience and murderous homophobia in Jamaica is a maximalist’s banquet — and the Booker Prize winner’s finest book yet.

So simple. So enduring. But seeing it in print brought tears to my eyes. This is the premise of everything. www.nytimes.com/interactive/...
This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days. ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.
Reduce it down: The 'outrage' about a Black woman being cast as Helen of Troy is just white supremacists being petulant about a woman of color having WHAT THEY DON'T WANT US TO HAVE. I.e. anything really great. Period. They don't want that for us. www.nytimes.com/2026/07/10/o...

now to even things out, the GOP just needs to publish a report about their bigotry plus theft of American tax dollars to serve billionaire agendas, personally enrich themselves, and imperil the country and the world with their anti-science collusions. (silence). www.nytimes.com/2026/05/21/u...
