Hey @helps.octranspo.com, Terminal bridge has reopened but the yellow "stop not in use" signage cover is still up at stop 1802. Just passed by on the bus and saw it.
Hey @helps.octranspo.com could you create unique messages on single car boarding for Tunneys Pasture and Blair stations? The "front of the train" message is misleading for the terminal stations. Try adding signage or saying "board at the far end of platform" or something.
Good morning Ottawa. Bonjour Ottawa.

Hi again @helps.octranspo.com Since the 90 is apparently back to its regular routing, PLEASE remove the service alert from the website. Most importantly, communicate it better to both operators AND riders. Those 'event' sticker signs on bus shelters can do a lot of good!
It appears the 90 has returned to regular routing. Ask me how I know? Not pleased that this is still up and I missed the bus because this stop has been out of service since Oct 2025!!! I check the service alerts page more often than most, so I'm disappointed. #OCTranspo #Ottawa
Cape Verde’s World Cup heroes have landed back home, greeted by saluting airport staff and hundreds of fans 🇨🇻 Today is also the 51st anniversary of the country’s independence. Have a day, Cape Verde 💙
@helps.octranspo.com This service alert was updated again last week because the construction isn't done (🥲), and the #1569 addition to 90 Hurdman has been removed yet again. Given the cancellations/delays and overcrowding on the 88, this is the only option for a direct route to Hurdman. 1/2
Hey @helps.octranspo.com, has this detour ended? I have seen the 90 in both directions still using the detour (incl. yesterday) and there has been no post to suggest regular routing has resumed. Some signage at both the detour stops and regular routing stops would be appreciated.
DETOUR: Route 90 in both directions near Heron and Brookfield. www.octranspo.com/en/alerts/#a...
We have to stop data centres from being built.
Lastly, and most importantly, if you’re wondering what we can do about it? My pinned post has the answer: a list of six science-based ways that individual individuals can meaningfully contribute to catalyzing societal change at the scale we need.
I’m a scientist who studies how climate change impacts our lives and the places we love. Most of us are worried, but many feel stuck on what to do. If that's the way you feel, check out this list below! We can’t fix it alone, but I know we can together. 💚

So, is the #CRTC planning on closing this loophole, or will service providers just make up new fees? Anybody else concerned about this development? @cbcradiocanada.bsky.social @ctvnewsottawa.bsky.social @theglobeandmail.com @nationalpost.bsky.social #canpoli #cdnpoli #cdnnews

Finally heard my Patron shout-out on @smashingsecurity.com ep 461, woohoo! I can actually be found posted outside of your nearest McDonald's, sharing the guest Wi-Fi password like a modern-day Robin Hood 💃🏾 (to avoid legal trouble, this is a joke!)
As someone who pays for a monthly pass because I commute to work daily, I gotta say I see more fare inspectors than working fare payment machines on the bus. A single journey that require 2-3 buses, and sometimes NOT ONE tap clears. And it doesn't matter which bus (double deck, 40', 60', electric)
This @smashingsecurity.com episode was an adventure. Duck really nailed the nitpick (he needs to come back & finish # 4). Universal addressing standards should be a thing! But because they're not, there are convoluted guidelines that define consistent elements. Webmasters *could* learn (1/2)

Hey @helps.octranspo.com, I should have clarified my issue. There is an active service alert on the website for the 90 detour; however, 90 Hurdman buses are only intermittently stopping at # 1569. It's a challenge to use transit when the alert doesn't match the reality at a stop #OCTranspo
I should have added: I am aware that this service alert is posted on the website. It states it was updated on Jan 9 but as recently as two weeks ago, I was passed by a 90 Hurdman, so it is not being applied in practice. This info is also misleading bcus the alert was removed and re-written/re-dated
My saga with OC Transpo continues. Skip ahead to the part where the feasibility will be determined "later". I try to be really patient because I know I personally don't have to execute every idea brought to me, but ughhhh it is becoming more Occasional for real #Ottawa #OCTranspo
Hi @octranspo.com / @helps.octranspo.com, with all of the 88 cancellations, you REALLY have to consider adding stop 1569 to the detour on the 90 Hurdman. It zips by nearly empty while we wait 20+ mins for a bus packed from door to door. This federal project is supposed to span several more months!
The only thing it feels worthwhile for me to say right now is pay attention to whether your feelings & the information you’re absorbing are paralyzing you or prompting you to meaningful action, whatever that is. Paralysis helps no one but the enemy.
I’m very upset, but I’ve got nothing of substance to contribute to the conversation on this platform. When you see me posting through it about random stuff, don’t confuse it for apathy.
Hey @helps.octranspo.com, it's 7 degrees and these large sheets of ice are sliding further off the bus shelters at Hurdman. It is common for people to stand back there, it feels important to point these out again. And yes, I've called. Given I first mentioned it over a week ago, here we are.
I have noticed that when it comes to anti-Black racism, the ask is usually "let's minimize the impact because of the intent." In too many instances, Black pain, embarrassment, and dehumanization come at the expense of absolving white guilt.
Already submitted a ticket for this one, but photos always tell you the full story. The snow (now, likely ice) hanging over the back of the bus shelters at Hurdman extend several inches beyond the lip that appears made to prevent that. @helps.octranspo.com and yesterday was worse! (1/2)

The ‘bel’ in ‘decibel’ is for Alexander Graham Bell. Since the ‘B’ in 'dB' is a name-derived unit, it is capitalized when abbreviated.
SO glad my universes are colliding! Graham's pick of the week for @smashingsecurity.com E453 is We Are Lady Parts. Such a phenomenal show. Can't wait for the third series, because the first two were amazing!
'Taxi' and 'cab' essentially mean the same thing, but 'cab' doesn't come from 'taxicab.' It comes from ‘cabriolet,’ which was a type of light carriage. ‘Taxi’ comes from ‘taximeter,’ which is the device that calculates the amount of a fare based on the distance traveled.
