Chemist. Crafty. Likes to play with string. (she/her)

I don't know how we got from Food Court to "Food Hall", but I feel like a wing restaurant that serves pizza, an intermittently open taco stand, and a bar doesn't really deserve either of those names. The chemistry-themed gin drink is tasty, though.

Notes from last weekend's fiber festival in BC: -Neon yarns still popular -Speckle-dyed yarns relatively rare -Some small-skein fade sets available -No long-gradient yarns spotted, appear to be out of vogue -MANY local dyers selling off stock and replacing it with new Canadian-sourced yarn bases 🇨🇦

40 inches of mostly stockinette scarf is going to take a while, so while I plod through the repetitive knitting, have some hand spun yarn. 85% merino, 12.5% eri silk, 12.5% tencel, in a color blend that averaged to a greenish-gold-beige.

If you hear a weird noise under your bed one night, the important question isn't, "what's making that sound?" The important question is, "why aren't you under there making weird sounds?" Don't leave such satisfying work for others. Get involved.

This is a photo I did not take of a man in a well-worn T-shirt with an image of Garfield the cat in a cowboy hat, and the words "When I die I may not go to Heaven. I don't know if they let cowboys in."

I do not like that the circuit board on my instrument has an LED labeled "BAD". I really do not like that it lights up briefly before cutting power to my instrument when I try to turn it on.
