From energy-efficient building tours to thought-provoking roundtables, last week's @aspenideas.bsky.social Climate event and Chicago Climate Week were a fantastic celebration of and recommitment to climate action. We were proud to showcase projects that are helping make our city more resilient.

As of Sunday at 2pm, Chicago’s air quality is unhealthy for sensitive groups. People with heart or lung disease, older adults, children, and teens should shorten time outdoors or do less strenuous outside activities.

Due to wildfire smoke from Canada, Chicago's air quality is currently rated as "Hazardous" in many areas of the city. We are also facing hot, humid temperatures, increasing the health risk. Avoid outdoor activities and follow @chicagooemc.bsky.social & @cdph.bsky.social for updates.

An Air Quality Alert has been issued in Chicago. If you have trouble breathing, stay inside when you can and wear a mask if you must go outside. To get the latest information on our current air quality levels, you can visit airnow.gov
