Twitch's "Allow your channel content to train generative AI models" setting is here and on by default. Go turn that shit off, streamer!! The toggle is under your Settings, then 'Security and Privacy'
I know its annoying to see this pop up again, but we need TO BE LOUD because THIS IS DEFAULT!! Tell your friends, oshi, fav streamer to opt out because they might not know. Who put this feature in- Has your soul been so rotten that you need to STEAL literal HUMAN INTERACTION? It's anti human.

this fucking sucks for artists, cause even though you can opt out personally, you have no idea who's stream your emotes might show up in, how can you even account for this in your own ToS?

ReStory Gamers!! They are aware and are changing the ai generated art in the background because their outsourced artist used ai!!! Independent outsourced artists using gen ai is SO SO SAD.
Please boost this because this is a HUGE ISSUE. The developers Mandragora have refused to note that GenAI was used in the development of #ReStory, going against Steam TOS in doing so. Several users have brought this to their attention via Steam and the use was denied each time. - 1/5

I streamed it. It has since come to my attention they are using undisclosed generative AI in their work. The image included is a Steam wallpaper.

It's silently costing people friends and other connections, too. If I see that you are posting or reposting gen AI content I'm unlikely to say anything but I will immediately lose interest in striking up any kind of conversation, friendship, or working relationship. And I know I'm not the only one.
