Turned out the vote for Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley's historic 2018 campaign. Progressive movement builder. Cat lady. Bylines: Washington Post, Newsweek, Reuters, gbhnews.

I'm not a huge fan of making chicken breasts at home but nyt cooking's lemon-garlic chicken breast recipe is superb. The secret is in the flattening & slicing technique which marinates the meat throughout. I also made a rice pilaf w/ herbs, but bqhatever. I miss having a working smoker.

The diarrhea lettuce company, Taylor Farms, uses slave labor contracted from the Arizona Dept. of Corrections. The backbreaking labor is often performed by imprisoned Mexican nationals who would be otherwise ineligble to work in the US. They are paid $1.50 an hour.

The Diarrhea Lettuce Company Has Been Linked to Forced Labor

The lettuce-producing Taylor Farms was linked to the widespread use of prison labor before its involvement in a cyclospora outbreak.

Important: Pro-Trump media are losing viewers in droves. "The audience for pro-Trump content has fallen from its heights and, for some creators, has reached new lows," NYT reports today. "Views are dropping for many of Trump’s greatest allies." More evidence we've entered Late-Stage Trumpism:

Greg Sargent@gregsargent.bsky.social · 6d ago

In Late-Stage Trumpism, everything is sinking into cheap, petty malice: *Bill Pulte boasting of nonexistent "deep state" firings *Trump denying aid to blue states *Raging over Reflecting Pool fiasco *Prosecutions of foes imploding *He took over 250th and nobody came newrepublic.com/article/2137...

So CBS and others invested in a pro trump audience that won’t arrive, alienating their actual audience, and trump propagandists are losing audience bc people are souring on Trump. Also helps explain the increased racist shrieking as they try to farm engagement www.nytimes.com/2026/07/31/u...

How the Pro-Trump Media Ecosystem Is Splintering Ahead of the Midterms

Once united in support of President Trump, right-wing influencers are embroiled in feuds and losing viewers, creating a problem for Republicans in the midterm elections.

Trump 2 has shown that the bulk of federal, state, and local "law enforcement" don't perform any useful functions at all. If they did, it would not be so easy to re-task them to brainless gestapo work like rounding up whole neighborhoods and waiting outside public buildings.

I wrote about how immigration arrests are at all-time highs, even as ICE is trying to assume a lower public profile. How are they doing this? Look to your local police.

Key thing to understand about "remigration" is that it doesn't mean "send immigrants home." He's an immigrant, Peter Thiel is an immigrant, etc. It's not even a white nationalism project, it's a trans-Atlantic white continentalism project, nations themselves aren't important, only race matters.

Elon Musk, owner of X, has called the editor of the Economist "a traitor to the West, plain and simple" after her recent interview with him. He now argues that "anyone who opposes remigration is a traitor" Musk has been socialising violence since Aug25: "fight or die, that's what it comes down to"

It is genuinely bizarre that we’ve become acclimatized to right wingers throwing a tantrum every time a black person (particularly a black woman) is cast in something, but are also supposed to pretend that this is not racism but related to some other substantive concern.

How bad do you have to be at your job commenting on the world cup for fox sports that you end up catching strays from the host of (check notes) Entertainment Tonight? 😂
