I guess I’ve never watched the 1984 Supergirl movie because I totally didn‘t remember it starting with Kara 3D printing a butterfly that rips a hole in the thin plastic wrap and losing Argo City’s power source then taking off for Earth.

R.I.P. Bizarro-Wuxtry, the great indy-supporting comic shop in Athens, GA. I have fond memories of my early signing there and hanging out with manager Devlin Thompson and folks afterward. A loss to the industry and the Athens community. A vital LCS, sad to see it go.

been in South Dakota all week. saw some nature and junk but then found the comics and used book stores. let’s make some room in the suitcase!

several paperback books, some comics, and a magazine

RIP Ted Turner, who was a Film Guy: he bought the MGM library for 1.5 billion dollars primarily so he could own Gone With The Wind, his favorite movie. He gave us TCM and Cartoon Network. He married Jane Fonda. You could do a lot worse when it comes to billionaires

Kids should be learning that AI output isn’t trustworthy, where it really comes from, and how it’s disrupting our ability to tell what’s real. They shouldn’t be learning that AI will make them more efficient or do their work for them because it can’t. That would be propaganda, not education

We saw Lily Allen perform her album West End Girl last night at the Fox. It started with cello karaoke of earlier songs and then more of a performance with sets and costumes than a traditional concert. It made sense for the album.

TV above the fireplace people - do you just like looking up? I get that sometimes TVs don't fit where you want them, but if you have a perfectly good wall, use it. get a painting for the fireplace.
