Is it weird that after finding out that Slay The Spire 2 confirming the cards are actual cards IN GAME (not just abstract representations of their actions) it has completely ruined any immersion in the game and made the entire thing seem so silly?

Ukrainian board game studio Boardova has broken into US hobby distribution, four years after its launch by two volunteers who met while supporting refugees and Ukraine’s army in the wake of Russia’s invasion: boardgamewire.com/index.php/20... (Hat tip @wargamer.com for excellent background info)

I dont do this but... ...I'm 13 followers away from the magical four figures and I hear when you get to 1000 people start throwing money at you, you get better looking, people start taking you seriously, your breath never smells, your aging shows down etc If you like board games, follow me 🙏

Having been lucky enough to meet Suzanne, I urge you to follow her (if not already). She absolutely knows her stuff, is a dominant force in the hobby for calling out BS, championing progressive causes and sharing valuable insight. I don't think I've even seen her say something I don't agree with.

I have a collection of apology notes from men in board games... for not providing support, for being silent when they knew I was right, for contributing to the problems, for reacting badly when being challenged... These notes are all sent privately regardless of the publicness of their behavior.

Anybody who claims games don't teach you real life skills, tell them that this evening, while on my bicycle, I had an unknown amount of time until the traffic lights turned green to let the lady in the car behind know her scarf was hanging outside the door. Charades be out here saving gay apparel

To be clear, I will never knowingly play, promote nor share any game that has had AI used in its creation, at least not until I have been given a damn good excuse as to why this is actually a positive thing (but I won't hold my breath on that). Human made art is just better.

This was a legitimate hand I drew in Compile! We were playing with Chaos, a set that exchanges cards between decks, but to not only get all these cards in my deck but draw them on the same turn is wiiiiiildly unlikely! One of my fave games btw, playing it a lot lately, you should be too ❤️
