As non U.S. citizens, we already make fun of the fact your national baseball series is called the World Series... Calling the winner of the North American Dune: Imperium Championship the "new Emperor of the Known Universe" is a whole other level of Americentrism. 😉

Dire Wolf 🔜 GEN CON (Booth 2402)@direwolfdigital.com · 3d ago

A big congratulations to the the winner of our Dune: Imperium North American Championship: Robert Norman, AKA Exline! After a nail-biting finish, we now have a new Emperor of the Known Universe! A huge thanks to everyone who participated in the tournament this year! 🔥

New comic! Every now and then one of us pitches a comic idea and the other says, "...you really shouldn't say that." We're very relieved that nobody was seriously hurt during the tornado at Gen Con and we hope people had a wonderful time.❤️ #gencon #boardgames

Heinze rushes in and asks, "Did you hear that there was some tornado damage at GenCon?" Rachel looks surprised and asks, "What?" In the next panel, Heinze says, "Luckily, no one seems to be hurt, but imagine how much damage it could've done to board games and RPGs. All those designers, publishers and content creators could have been gone!" In the final panel, Rachel replies, "Which would mean we would finally have time to finish our backlog of games and videos, while the board game industry would rebuild itself?" Heinze, looking uncomfortable, replies, "I mean yes, but you shouldn't say that..." Rachel immediately jumps to an inappropriate "silver lining" before Heinze points out that it really shouldn't be said aloud.

War Story is incredible, why are you scrolling on here instead of playing War Stories? It's the most tense Choose Your Own Adventure game we've played!

I started my first session of War Story: Occupied France by @djackthompson.bsky.social and Dave Neale from @ospreygames.bsky.social with art by @kwanchai.bsky.social. It's a really clever choose-your-own-adventure of the French Resistance, using cards and other components to keep track of progress.

We played 14 different games in July! We started our Neon Hope and Queen's Dilemma campaigns which we hope we can keep going at a swift pace because we enjoy both a lot. Other highlights were Deckers, which we really should play more, and Bunny Kingdom Town which we really should play meaner. 😈

BG Stats 4 x 4.
Play count:
5: Flip 7;
3: Similo: Fables;
2: NEON HOPE;
2: The Night Cage;

Aristea is a really interesting game and I'm curious to see what changed for this new edition called Hexadome Legends. I've tried the Hexadome Tactics video game which added way too much crunchy stats IMHO, so it could really go either way for me.

I’ve only scratched the surface of the head to head gladiatorial arena #boardgame set in the #Infinity universe, and I’m already itching to see how it develops from here - if you're at #GenCon, you can demo it right now! www.wargamer.com/hexadome-leg...

So Playte WILL be at Gencon, but will be exclusively run by the busiest cutie outta Korea, Ryan, who will likely never leave the booth. Im trying to figure out how to help get indie and unpublished games in his hands. If anyone knows the best way, please get in touch!!!!!
