I got caught up in a rabbit hole and now I've accidentally built a webapp for fucking up your images. It'll probably be out sometime 🤷

Screenshot of an app called Photochop, with options for making images into ascii art, dithering the image, removing backgrounds, applying a xerox effect, and more

It’s cool to be integrating some of my art outside the TTRPG space into my games work. I’m pretty proud of a lot of my photo work so I hope people like it! Can’t wait to share the full game.

Keep your eyes peeled in the coming weeks! Our next game is coming soon. Drove to Chicago is a coming of age roadtrip game about finding yourself as a teen graduating high school. With photography by @chkurk.bsky.social from all across the state throughout the book.

A photo of the front cover of Drove to Chicago. The title on the left and a photo of the backs of some kids sitting on a pier staring off at the Chicago Skyline.

I lose so much respect when I see people getting so lost in discourse (especially inconsequential stuff) that they start name calling and getting aggressive. Like, sure fine. You’re frustrated. But it’s people with feelings on the other end of this thing too. Just keep that in mind, please?

This is exactly how a lot of the pro-AI sentiment I have seen in a couple of Hank’s videos seems to me. The absolute insane output from him (and others) just really doesn’t seem necessary, but at a certain point one person can only do so much. There’s productivity obsessed seem primed for AI.

Thinking about Hank Green et al journalists and how everyone is chasing content output so hard that they turn to AI to help consume larger and larger quantities of stuff just to output the same take as everyone else. At what point do you self-reflect and ask what satisfaction you get out of this.

Ran my second session of my current Vesta Mandate campaign and we just had logrolling on one of the Council resolutions! It was incredible to watch the resolution get pitched and then tweaked, adjusted and ultimately shot down by all the interested parties. First time I’ve seen THAT in an RPG.

A local cathedral shot on expired Fuji Neopan film on a stroll through the neighborhood. I might be able to drag a little more detail out of these with a self scan but they’re SUCH moody photos. Hope you enjoy.

anyone got good resources / articles on immediate post-ww2 China? specifically interested in the resumed conflict between the briefly allied CCP and KMT
