Excited to have my weird praying mantis story “Fall In” included in @chmmagazine.bsky.social 76 (ed. Jolie Toomajan) alongside these excellent names! Love the haunting cover art by Katie Beardmore. Last pic is internal art I couldn’t resist including too. 🖤 🦑 cosmichorrormonthly.com

After careful inspection of the physical copy of @chmmagazine.bsky.social I just received, Calliope approves.
Cover reveal! Our October issue looms upon the very near future with fantastic art from Katie Beardmore! zurl.co/CZz1I
Caught the new Resident Evil recently and I have to say I was incredibly impressed. Not only one of the best video game movies ever made, but one of the best horror flicks of year. Tense, funny, with some great gore. Highly recommended.
My Story "Lemongrass from the South and Rosehips from the Garden, Half a Spoonful of Honey from the Hives" is in this. Family pressure and expectations, grief and "grieving correctly", the horror of realizing you never really knew someone... all that fun stuff!
CHM #75 is available for single issue orders on our website here: zurl.co/rXDM5

I’ve published @kfawver.bsky.social more than any other author, including his two Shirley Jackson Award-winning stories. This was an insta-buy for me. @lairdbarron.bsky.social says “If we’re talking about Thomas Ligotti and Michael Cisco, we need to be talking about Kurt Fawver.” Go Kurt!
Congrats to Kurt Fawver on his recent book release. His collection WE ARE HAPPY, WE ARE DOOMED is an all-time favorite of mine. Weird, unsettling, and totally unique in its approach to the genre. Can't wait for my copy of EVERYWHERE IS A HORROR STORY! zurl.co/m5qbi

Are we finally getting an AT THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS movie? Looks like an indie team filmed this teaser on location. zurl.co/EjCiy
Okay, I avoided this for a long time because I bounced of WOUNDS (yes, I know, I'm in the minority), but I thought this was an incredible collection. Loved the way each story could stand on its own without the supernatural elements. Highly recommended.
I was never a big Lovecraft fan, but I remember these covers so well from local bookstores. Still some of my favorite cosmic horror art. Really captures the dreamy, absurd menace. Many years later, I've finally put Michael Whelan's name to the work! Any other fav pieces?
