I love this new passkey feature where I have to cancel three separate requests from password managers (1p 🤢, Keychain, Google) and then select which passkey provider to use, and then unlock with my fingerprint. If I get any of them wrong, the auth fails and sends me to the fallback. It's so great.

The framing around the spyware on LG TVs is wild. The f you mean, “they were caught spying”? What you mean to report is: LG deliberately included features to surveil their customers in order to maximize their advertising profits.

Our August updates for Runway are live: volumes on shared apps and services, a new Homebrew tap for the CLI, runway app logs that reconnects through deploys, and a new guide on multi-process apps with Procfiles. All built and hosted in the EU. 🇪🇺 👇🏼

For the first time in maybe years, the YouTube app on my ipad “remembered” where I was at yesterday. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 (“Starfleet hid control’s true purpose for 930 years” - white noise to put me to sleep)

Wondering why Freelens works so well, when Lens crashes once a day, locks up, eats memory — like the worst electron app ever.

Caved and watched “Greenland 2”. Amazon shows a 3.5/5 rating. I wonder in which world. What a terrible movie and waste of time.

Man... don't mean to dunk on people dealing with GitHub infra. But what a clown show. Accidentally dropped an index? OK. What else is there to use if Actions continues to be such a burden?

Did a bit more recreational rust to learn more about the language and to replace a ruby based CLI tool. After three evenings, I feel like this is the closest I’ve been to Ok() but find all the development heavy on the ceremony with little obvious benefit?

Here's what's new in July at Runway: → Grow PostgreSQL storage from the CLI/UI → API keys with flexible expiration (1h to 1y) → Every deploy now records its source → runway app exec improvements And a bit more!

JFrog Xray is defective, flagging unaffected binaries as vulnerable, and the cost is borne by maintainers who have to field requests to work around it. This is a real open source sustainability issue. (The problem here is JFrog, not the person who politely opened the issue.)

v1.3.1 release binaries embed Go toolchain vulnerable to CVE-2025-68121 (crypto/tls session resumption) · Issue #730 · FiloSottile/age

Summary The published v1.3.1 release binaries appear to be built with a Go toolchain that predates the fix for CVE-2025-68121 (Go issue golang/go#77217), a crypto/tls session-resumption vulnerabili...

Since Google Gemini‘d fitbit, it keeps sending me messages how shitty I slept in the middle of the night. But then in the morning, I had like 8 hours of “good” sleep.

While watching England’s press conference, it’s interesting that in sports, people long for one thing they can blame, e.g. a player or a coach. Similar to the countless postmortem meetings I had to sit through in my career where people search for “a” root cause.

Kannst Steuergelder in Millionen verballern, lustige Geschäfte mit deinen Buddies machen, Kredite usw.. Am Ende stolperst Du über Deine eigene verbohrte Moralität. Good fucking riddance, Jens Spahn.

Had really sh.. luck picking games and winners so far. Hope England doesn’t let me down later.
