Last week, @beerfoodtravel.bsky.social put bacon ribs on the timeline and I've got to admit - I had never heard of them, but they sounded amazing. Of course, step 1 is to procure bacon ribs, which I've never seen in the states.

I think it was someone on here, maybe @velveteenrabbi.bsky.social who posted something I now can't find about two Zen questions for finding clarity: 1. What is this? 2. What is my work? The answer to #1, I think most of us are clear on. The answer to #2 is personal. But probably not "scrolling."

This whole thread is great and also applicable to papers vs posters (which presumably David also teaches). I attended a poster session recently and half of the posters were literally cut and paste blocks of text from the students' papers.

Anil Dash@anildash.com · 2y agoWe should be specific when we say "tech", whether we mean the fascist overlords, or some kid who works at an Apple Store. The folks who organized unions at Amazon and Google are people, too, and are more _tech_ than any of the tycoons.
