If I was in charge of the emergency alert system I'd send another one out now saying that actually yes it *was* a good use of an alert to remind people not to do things that might cause a massive wildfire. A noisy alert is annoying. Your house burning down is also annoying, arguably even more so.

I feel like the way of dealing with such behaviour is to look these people right in the eye and say, very gently, "You think your right to park matters more than homes these children?" Then when they reply just repeat it with slightly different emphasis.
