Landowners from all over England gathered at Old Sarum, Wiltshire, #OTD in 1086. They swore fealty to King William I, and in return he shared with them the draft results of the Domesday Survey. This provided the visitors security of tenure after years of tumult. 📸Visit Wiltshire

I had 24 hours in London with my family last week. It was great. I was particularly pleased that when the bus we were taking back to the hotel terminated at Waterloo I remembered The Cut -> Union Street as an easy walk back to London Bridge.

There is a measles outbreak in London, which has been widely reported. Vaccination rates are low. And we have been warned that an outbreak could be large. Some of the reasons are due to misinformation and disinformation. Thankfully the Government appears to be waking up. A thread.

Great video, great houses. I have to point out George says "Mam" but the subtitles say "Mum" . The same thing happened all the way through '28 Years Later'. Feels like my dialect is being deliberately eroded.

I haven't been to the train station for a while. Today I noticed that LNER have added sign language to their departure boards. I'm intrigued by the technical aspects, and impressed at the effort to make the service accessible to more people.
