This whole Liddle thing got me thinking that we should regularly declare how we feel about people *before* they die, so they know. Maybe on their birthdays we could post what we would if they had died. It also solves the issue of people ‘speaking ill of the dead’.

Because of the timing of his interview perhaps, Polanski seems to have avoided literally any front pages about his refusal to apologise yesterday.
