45 years after my father, who would have been 100, proposed we visit Arbor Low, I finally made the trip, on my own. Photos don’t do justice to this stunning recumbent (and to my mind intentionally recumbent, no post holes) stone circle, one of the UK’s best. A magical place. #StandingStoneSunday

This really is quite something. In the 15 years @carbonbrief.org have tracked UK media, 2025 was first ever year where more newspaper editorials opposed #climate action than supported it. Meanwhile, the *actual* climate crisis deepens by the month. Go figure.

Before today’s transect there was a lovely brimstone moth on the front door. Then I had painted ladies and green veined whites dominate proceedings with a least black arches napping at the base of a tree. Today’s count higher than any transect I did in 2024. #Butterflies #Moths #TeamMoth #Cornwall
