I wish we lived in a world where cooperation was easier, the incentives aligned on that, there were known studied protocols around how to do it well. It feels like the incentives are all aligned towards atomization and subjugation instead though.

I feel like a lot of why AI is being used in software is because coordination around reusable standards is much harder than just making a bespoke solution. Its especially bad when brands want to infuse their "identity" into UI to make it marketable.

Since we have a lot of data from bluesky's art theft labeler, and many LLMs have vision capabilities now, something that could be very interesting is tuning a model for plagiarism detection. The labeler is kind of dead, having a bot handle the egregious cases may help idk tho
