Getting to design characters for a murder mystery visual novel set in the Myst/D'ni universe was such a blast, I hope this also sees the light of day someday:

The other (much smaller) game @shoomlah.bsky.social and I worked on near the end of our time at Cyan is shown here (@ 28:07). "WhoD'nit?", a Myst visual novel / Phoenix Wright style murder mystery (and yes you would obviously be able to flirt with all the suspects!) I still really want to make this.

genuinely, who are these people that care about Beyond Good & Evil and does a sequel even have a market? did it have a market 15 years ago? isn't it literally more well known for a failure-to-launch sequel than the original poorly sold game?

As it was written! I beat that shit. It was so good; definitely some 90s baffling level design at times in an era without yellow paint, but the mood & inventive stealth mechanics make it such a banger.
