Been absolutely absorbed in Valheim 1.0. In a solo offline map, I found a holy grail of a spot: mountaintop base with nearby dragon nest and inverted tower; black forest leading to a channel for a massive dock to ocean, swamp nearby; large plains coast with spot *on* mountaintop for fast farming!

Hurts me seeing Malfoid art; on one hand, it's like a psyop to get people "into" HP and supporting one of the worst creators in recent times - Rowling. On the other hand, it's like a psyop to get people into a toxic character whose defining trait is using a slur to refer to entire groups of people.
Continuing to manifest Half-Life: Alyx 2 energy as an even more fleshed-out VR killer-app game because I think it's way, way funnier than releasing Half-Life 3. Also, honestly, Half-Life: Alyx stands beside Silent Hill 2, Mario 64, Super Metroid, and MegaMan 2 for me as generationally formative.

For the first time in a decade, I will be letting my FFXIV subscription lapse, letting go of FC and player housing, and taking a full, complete break. Prior to FFXIV I was on 1-2 other MMOs, and this is the first time in closer to 20 years that I will not have any active MMO. It feels weird.
The hardest part about what’s going on in the US right now is that people are paid to be “the ones to do something” when the shit that’s going on is going on, and yet none of them are doing anything, but get paid more to do nothing than I’ll ever make ($174k is the BASE salary of house and senate).
