White folks out here thinking "at least I'm safe" - no, we're not. Whiteness changes all the time. Not long ago German, Irish, & Italian people weren't white. Indigenous people weren't white unless our daddy was white. Hispanic people may be seen as white until someone hears Spanish words.

Renewable energy has been cheaper than fossil fuels for several years now. I learned this from a public radio story recently & I don't understand why it hasn't been headline news multiple times. It's a major milestone, in normal times it would signal a sharp decline in fossil fuel market demand.

This is Trump moving funding from investigating actual crimes regardless of who the perpetrator & victim are (FBI, ATF, etc) to detaining people for who they are (ICE). Sure, there are mountains of biases in who gets investigated but at least the idea was to go after crime. Now identity is a crime.
