Another thought on this - storage space (ie - SSDs) have increased so sharply in price that storing digital games is becoming increasingly difficult and expensive. Discs are DIRT CHEAP to produce - so even if you have to install them, you have a physical, cheap solution right there.

not to be negative but the starfox remake exemplifies everything I dislike about modern AAA games, extremely high fidelity ruining legibility, completely overpowering audio, the script being bland as fuck, all this with the game feel being awful it’s like one of the worst things I’ve played in years
