Delay after delay, but I'm getting there at 5am. Just enough time to head over to the PD Provider Summit. Sleep deprived but ready to go! #CSTA2026
On my way to #CSTA2026! Look forward to seeing everyone there!

They let me take a bulletin board! I need to up my bulletin board game, but this was really last minute. #CSEdWeek #TeamCompSci
Happy #CSEdWeek! Since 2020, I’ve been sharing some of our lab’s research on gender equity in CS to celebrate. Despite progress in access/participation, disparities remain in K-12 CS education. (1/12) #WomeninSTEM #AcademicSky #PsychSciSky #DevPsychSky #SocialPsyc #EduSky #CompSky #GirlsLeadSTEM
Students have been blowing me away with their work this year. The creativity and individual expression are amazing. It's been great seeing their excitement when sharing their creations. #Edusky #CSed #TeamCompSci

Thank you to all the participants in the Cybersecurity #Unplugged workshop at #CSTA25, and congrats to everyone for freeing their ducks with excellent code cracking skills. #CSed #TeamCompSci #releasethequacken All this thanks to the great staff and volunteers at @csteachersorg.bsky.social!
Just submitted my slides for #CSTA2025, right at the deadline. I'm so excited for this conference! Thanks, @csteachersorg.bsky.social for putting this on. See you in Cleveland! #TeamCompSci #CSEd
This looks like so much fun! I want to combine this with some other e-textiles (circuits/LED) next year with my new middle school group. #CSEd #physicalcomputing
Today we went to the University of Warwick and did some embroidery with @megjlow.bsky.social. You use Scratch to draw the patterns and then they get stitched. #TeamCompSci

It seems like Mark Gudzial's article has been sparking a lot of discussion about sense of belonging versus personal relevance in #CSed, but I still don't understand why one would need to replace the other. #TeamCompSci

You know those nightmares when you realize you didn't go to class all semester? I just had a nightmare that I accidentally missed my workshop for #CSTA2025... So happy to be facilitating a workshop on 'Cybersecurity Unplugged' in Cleveland this July, and I promise I'll be there! #CSed #TeamCompSci
I love PRIMM! Congratulations to @suesentance.bsky.social for this recognition of her work. Thank you to Sue and all the other people out there helping to develop resources for computing CPK! #CSed #TeamCompSci

For Week 3 of the #RiMasterclasses @qmul.ac.uk and @qmuleecs.bsky.social we have Paul Curzon (@cs4fn.bsky.social) doing an unplugged Computer Science Masterclass for teenagers. This involves playing a game of hexapawn (bit like noughts and crosses) with a computer made of Starburst sweets.
What a cool project! I can't make out what's on the small papers. I'm really curious what the student experience of this was like. #TeamCompSci #EdTech
So proud of my 8th graders who presented their progress on our “electronic word art for belonging” mini-projects yesterday. So many compliments from our audience of parents & staff. Wish I could share all the smiles 😊 (built with @raspberrypi.com Picos) #CSed #MakerEd

My favorite kind of sport - when the robot does it! Thanks to @compscitsui.bsky.social for the great video. I love that little blue robot. #robotics #TeamCompSci #CSed
Hello again @ciphersoup.bsky.social Does this video version work?
Wow, #EduSky, this is a thoughtful group of people who do amazing work in supporting teachers. Please #TeamCompSci and #CSed folks, if you know a K5 educator in TX who's interested in bringing more TechApps/CompSci into their work, this is a great program! They also have great rubber ducks!
WeTeach_CS is accepting applications for Launch K5, our 3-day program that equips K-5 educators with the tools and training to seamlessly integrate the Technology Applications TEKS into their teaching practices, preparing students for success in the digital age. Learn more: buff.ly/4jCBiCJ
This would be a lot of fun for a warm-up group game. Low stakes and combines hex with additive color mixing. #CSed #TeamCompSci Also, great name choice "What the Hex?" 😆 I love a good pun.
Want your student to quickly judge the size of hexadecimal numbers? This is a nice little game. yizzle.com/whatthehex/
Not computing, but this is amazing!
It was a challenging PROCESS for students to select scrap cardboard pieces, use tools to punch holes, twist pipe cleaners, & build a model of a Disney Skyliner gondola cabin. 🚫Tape 🚫Glue ⏰30 min The crash-tested PRODUCT included movable doors, windows, & more! #STEM #EduSky
Ha ha, yes, I remember the hardest part of having kids 'mod' themselves for the 3d printer was getting them to hold still for the scan. The crane looks amazing! #CSed #physicalcomputing #TeamCompSci
My student and I built this crane using @strawbees.bsky.social and two radio-controlled micro:bits. The biggest challenge was keeping my student still while he was wearing the armband. His excitable cheers and dances really put the crane through its paces! @microbit.org #STEM #EdTech #Edusky

What a great simple interface to demonstrate this issue! Be sure to check out the one with decimals in the reply. #CSed #TeamCompSci
This is the first draft of a page that I made for my Maths class - I kept it to help me demonstrate an issue with floating point numbers. Enter 0.3 and click the right-arrow button. Python does a similar thing, e.g. if you calculate 0.3 - 0.1. But why? www.advanced-ict.info/mathematics/...
