Playing with VEX noises and trying to land somewhere between bubbles and coagulated blood??? Not sure what it wants to be yet. Just having some fun with VEX and noises. Need to see this under SSS to know if it actually works. From a certain angle, it almost looks like bubble wrap. 😅

Had the chance to collaborate with @TheBlurStudio and Games Workshop on the Titus Returns: 500 Worlds cinematic Worked on modeling/texturing + built procedural materials for the environment. GW later turned the environment into a physical miniature set! www.artstation.com/artwork/O3o4Dw

Titus Returns: 500 Worlds Cinematic | Warhammer 40,000, Ciro Cardoso

I had the fantastic opportunity to collaborate closely with Games Workshop on the Titus Returns: 500 Worlds cinematic. My initial task was the Roboute Guilliman statue, adding a pass of light damage, ...

Not sure if there’s a more elegant way to do this, but I wanted to use Direction From Attribute in the Ray node in a more interactive way, basically with a gizmo to control the projection orientation.

Not an official job posting just yet, but if anyone knows a reliable UK-based 3D modeler with Unity experience who might wanna freelance for ABIDE for a few months, feel free to reach out. Mostly for modelling interior architecture and various objects in and around the house. No gen-AI please.

I finally found some time to further develop my Ivy Solver. I have now added an option to use a mask to define “avoid” areas, preventing ivy from growing on specific surfaces like windows and doors. Next, I want to improve the way the hanging strands extend, making them feel more natural. #Houdini

Making more progress on the ivy solver. Currently adding extra control for pscale and orientation. Next on the roadmap is a feature to define areas to avoid and incorporate hanging ivy. #3d #Houdini #SideFX #TD

Back to working on my ivy solver, I’m setting up how the leaves orient, balancing between following the branch and being “sky sensitive.” It’s a bit tricky to find the right balance. Still a #wip, but I think it’s coming together. #3d #cgi #Houdini #SideFx

Did a bit more work on this today, ignore the leaves since it’s still a #wip. Added an option to space the branches out more and set a starting angle. The only part I don't like is having this inside a solver, but using a For Loop With Feedback doesn’t give the same result. Open to ideas.

🧵 1/3 While working on the Ghost of Yōtei – The Hunt Begins cinematic trailer at Goodbye Kansas, I was tasked with rebuilding the entire house interior based on a layout file. That meant matching translation, rotation, and non‑uniform scale for more than 1,000 objects.
