Today’s lovely #Parkrun at Nonsuch included a stretch of the lovely #LondonLoop @ldnloop-capring.bsky.social Section 7 - thanks to all the volunteers who make Parkun happen and who look after the LOOP.

Formerly half of Sarah Records. Currently Ramblers / walking London volunteer, Parkrunner, mediocre swimmer, amateur paddleboarder, reader and very occasional writer. Grew up in Yorkshire, live in London, still miss Bristol & often found at the seaside.
Nice overnight to Oxfordshire for Blenheim Palce, Woodstock Lido, Abingdon #Parkrun and then Abbey Meadows Lido in Abingdon. Lovely to be away and now nice to be back home with the cat.
Then to @edenproject.bsky.social for a magical joyous evening with the very wonderful @cmatbaby.bsky.social
After Plymouth I headed to Fowey and then to Par Sands, where Trembling Blue Stars were playing on my inner jukebox - ABBA on the Jukebox share.google/1Ud5MOjDtArx... - and where I had a dip in the estuary (tide was out so very shallow).
Kicked the day off at the lovely Mount Wise Pools in Plymouth - the lesser known of the city’s two lidos. And very lovely it was too. What with Salcombe yesterday, I’ve now been to all the (currently open) South Devon lidos - which has only taken me about 5 years!
My first ever AquaPaddle was at Kingsbridge yesterday afternoon in full sun and full-on breeze / wind. Massively enjoyed the paddle and the location and very satisfied with my mid-table obscurity time.
Forgot to book Petersfield lido to swim after #Parkrun on the way to Devon - and apparently there’s a heatwave so it was sold out - but I did get to do a wonderful organised swim round Paignton pier this evening. In fact it was so great I did it twice!
Walked up to #RichmondPark #Parkrun for the first time in a very long time - and admired the wildflower meadow at Latchmere on the way back.
Lovely swim at Helmsley Lido in Friday’s Yorkshire heat - what a lovely pool!
So I had always stupidly assumed that the cover of Coles Corner was, errr, Coles Corner. But it’s the Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough- opposite the station and just beside a nice little craft beer bar.
Lovely here on the North Yorkshire coast - so far, walk from Scarborough to Filey, a bus back, a couple of sea swims, and a morning run along the front before the heat got any worse.
Due to the hot weather two legs of the Thames Path Relay on 24 and 25 June are cancelled. Tomorrow's leg from Walton-on-Thames will finish at Hampton Court Bridge. We will re-arrange the missing sections later in the year. @clarewadd.bsky.social @walking-class-hero.bsky.social
What a joy to see Belle and Sebastian and Saint Etienne at the Piece Hall here in Halifax tonight.
Lunchtime lanes at heavenly Hathersage lido high up in the Hope Valley today.
2/2 ...... Osney bridge, where the Osney Heron was on duty 👋 Thank you to Des Garrahan from Inner London Ramblers for leading this leg of the Relay celebrating our 30th anniversary. #thamespath30 @oxfordclarion.bsky.social
Two great gigs this week - first @pinkopaque.co.uk on Thursday in Aldgate and then today I finally got to see Lande Hekt instore at @banquetrecords.com here in #Kingston
Walked a bit of the #CapitalRing in @theroyalparks.bsky.social #RichmondPark yesterday on our way to and from the @royalballetschool.bsky.social White Lodge open day and tour.
Hey folks, who’s joining me at this gig on Thursday?
We're back in the big smoke this Thursday, playing at the Castle in Aldgate with Cloud Studies and Falling & Laughing wegottickets.com/f/17535 and to celebrate, we gave the Go London cat a Pink Opaque remix 🩷🪩
I want to get more Londoners walking. To make that happen, our streets need to be safer and cleaner. Together with TfL, I'm setting out an action plan for new crossings, safer routes to school and clearer pavements so more Londoners can walk every day.
TfL to ban cars on 200 more London roads outside schools at certain times
The School Streets scheme aims to make walking the "first choice of travel to school for even more Londoners"

U is for Upton Court, Slough where I completed the challenge to run a #Parkrun beginning with every letter in the word Parkrun this morning, because… well, why not? Nice flat course and thank you to the lovely friendly volunteers.
The SL7 and 102 Flightline took me to the huge and heavenly Hillingdon Lido to kick off my day in the cool cool water.
Lovely Serpentine lake swim kicked off my day yesterday. Bitten to bits, but worth it.
After yesterday’s #Parkrun on a bit of the #CapitalRun route, today I hired a paddleboard and followed a bit of it on the River Brent from Brentford Lock. Walking is best of course, but a different perspective is nice now and then too.
Nice to be running on some of the #CapitalRing route at this morning’s brilliant #Parkrun. I was a bit early so was able to give those signposts a bit of a clean while I was waiting around too!
First time at Chelsea Flower Show today - rain held off and sun even shone a bit!
Fabulous allium schubertii from yesterday’s trip to RHS Wisley.
Sunrise starting to look lovely after this morning’s exhilarating 5-30am swim at Goodrington Sands, Paignton. What a way to start the day!
