I decided this week that it's so expensive when I have oats at home. It's not the same at all. Just not as creamy and I'm not buying all the gums and oils and doing chemistry at home. So back to the store. 😅
My new summer obsession is sticking fruit and sugar together in a jar and letting it become a delicious syrup with no effort. Trying to make olea saccharum and it's like magic. Put lemon peels and sugar in, do nothing and bam lemon syrup.
This headline sounds like Environment Canada issued air quality warnings because of the threat rather than the fact there are air quality issues due to wildfire smoke. Canadian or American the warning is the same!

This is the first year the fireworks are in a different location (that I can remember) because apparently we've finally realized that setting off pyrotechnics around a bunch of trees might be a bad idea. 😂 Unfortunately it also means worse views from my balcony.
