🚨Europe is facing yet another exceptionally dangerous heat wave this week, with temperatures forecast to reach up to 45°C (113°F) in parts of France🚨 This isn't just another hot summer — it bears a strong fingerprint of human-caused climate change.

🚨Over two dozen U.S. states are forecast to experience temperatures above 100°F (38°C) through July 28🚨 More than 101 million people across the U.S. will experience at least one day with average temperatures reaching a CSI 5 or higher, indicating an exceptional influence from climate change.

🦟Mosquito season is getting longer, and the buzz is not so good. #ClimateCentral analyzed "mosquito disease days" in 239 major U.S. cities from 1970–2025 — days with temperatures suitable for spreading West Nile virus — and found that 95% of these cities saw an increase.

Is it summer? Yes. Should it be hot? Sure. Should it be THIS hot? Not quite. In fact, climate change is making this kind at least 3x more likely for: • Monday: 52.2M Americans • Tuesday: 95.4M • Wednesday: 85.5M (and almost impossible w/out it for 65.2M!) (data: @climatecentral.org)

Over two dozen states are under either a HEAT ADVISORY or EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING Monday, July 20 through (at least) Tuesday, July 21. According to Heat.gov, ~102.5 MILLION Americans are under one of these extreme heat alerts. Tue/Wed: Highs for some - Up to 105° Feels-like: as high as 115°!

🌀Super #TyphoonBavi rapidly intensified over exceptionally warm Pacific waters made up to 80x more likely by climate change. Before reaching Taiwan this weekend with winds as high as 130 mph, it is expected to cross ocean waters made 10–40x more likely by climate change.

Climate change is making fire weather across the Western U.S. more likely. Western UT ( #CherryFire and #IronFire ) now sees 40 more fire weather days annually compared to the early 70s. South central UT ( #CottonwoodFire ), now sees 15 more fire weather days annually. For more: bit.ly/4xRPhf1
