In 1971 I organized BC's 1st major environmental protest, 4,000 people at the Peace Arch protesting against supertankers coming down the BC coast. I was MC & sang about it. No new pipeline in the north is good. A new pipeline in the south isn't. Climate change is here. It's time to mobilize again.

Seeds for Sale. We have seeds for sale at our farm gate, 2871 Steveston Highway, by the west dyke. We sell organic vegetable seed varieties that we have grown on our farm for 100 years. They are very well adapted to our climate.

Because of Trump's war global gas prices are rising including Canada which has a surplus of fossil fuels. American billionaires & corporations that own Canada's oil & gas companies are making billions from the high prices. Canada should cap prices, tax the excess profit & subsidize public transit.

Great seeds that are well adapted to the Greater Vancouver climate. Highly recommend the tomatoes.

The CCF/NDP grew out of the populist soil of Canada, founded by prairie farmers and workers. I’m proud to have the support of agriculture leaders today, fighting for food sovereignty and against corporate control of our food system. We’re rebuilding the NDP for every community, including farmers.

We are in an economic war with Trump. Climate change is hitting farm crops in the USA with drought. We import much of our vegetables from the US. The cost of food is going up. We need food independence. Plant a Victory Garden.

BC has some of the finest arable land in #Canada And w/ climate change northern BC having a longer growing season. We need t/b cautious allowing crypto farming and ai data farms cuz they use insane amounts of water & electricity better used for agriculture. #bcpoli #cdnpoli #ALR @bcndp.bsky.social

Canada is a major importer of fruit, vegetables & fish. As more oil & gas is exported expect equal increases in the cost of food as the planet warms. BC could be self sufficient but our governments are allowing development on #ALR Land protected by the Barrett #NDP. #keepitintheground & #savetheALR

My position is clear: I am unequivocally opposed to any new fossil fuel development — including LNG. We must have the courage to say this to every government, of any stripe: if you’re building new pipelines or fossil infrastructure, this shall not pass. #cdnpoli

In Richmond BC downtown parks & trails have pipes in the ground supplying geothermal ground heat to downtown apartment buildings. We also use sewage heat.The system pays for itself in 17 yrs compared to 80-100 yrs for Site C Dam. Until 2022 I was on the Lulu Island Energy board. Solar should be next
